As General Gady Eisenkot early on said: "The Iranian plan is to control the Middle East by means of two Shi'ite crescents, the first being from Iran through through Iraq to Syria and Lebanon and the second across the Gulf from Bahrain to Yemen to the Red Sea. We must stop that from happening!" He was so right!
DEBKA Intelligence sources, out Friday June 6 2018, reveal that Israeli air force squadrons are cruising 24/7 over the Syrian, Russian, Iranian and Hezbollah lines in southwestern Syria, watching their every move.
"High above the Israeli jets, US Navy strike planes from the USS Truman air carrier off the coast of Syria maintain a constant presence and the two are making no effort to hide from Russian radar." Why?
"Should the Russians launch anti-air weapons, including their advanced S-300 or S-400 batteries, against the Israeli overflights, both American and Israeli warplanes would respond by destroying them."
It's not just the jets that prove formidable to both Russia and Iran. Involved in all this is something called the Iranian Project. It is one of the options for dealing with the Iranian/Hezbollah menace.
For this reason Israel's Chief of Staff Lt. General Gady Eisenkot was in Washington last week for meetings with top US brass, including General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the US Chiefs of Staff, and Joseph Votel, head of CENTCOM.
Most tellingly, however, he was accompanied by Major General Nitzan Alon, Israel's director of the Iran Project, a cooperative effort involving Saudi Arabia, The UAE, Israel, and the United States.
In the event of war with Iran, four command groups have been set up: Nuclear (Iran weaponry, plutonium reactors, uranium enrichment plants, and centrifuge production sites), Ballistic (missiles and launch sites, production plants, institutes for missile research and development), Anti-Subversion (overt and covert operations against Iranian military intelligence and cyber warfare centers across the Middle East), Economic (sanctions against Iran and the monitoring of their effects).
Alon's out of the box strategic thinking will be implemented far beyond Israel's horizons by his team: Air Force chief Major General Amikam Nurkin, head of the Depth Cotmmand, Major General Muni Katz, OC Central Command Major General Nadav Padan and new Military Intelligence (AMAN) Director Major General Tamir Hayman.

Now, the Iran Project is more than just Israel efforts to defend its position against Iran/Hezbollah. It is also an attempt to oust the fascist Ayatollahs who have an adverse stranglehold on their people. Can this be done?
As led by Saudi FM and executive director of the Iran Project, Adel Al-Jubeir, there are actually six goals outlined: 1. to oust Iranian influence in Baghdad. 2. Extinguish the Iranian/Hezbollah presence in Syria. 3. Suppress the Shiite underground movement fomented by Tehran in Bahrain for overthrowing King Hamad bin Isa Khalifa. 4. Stimulate an uprising against the Shiite regime by the restive 1.75 million Ahwazi Arabs of the southern, oil rich, Khuzestan Province of Iran. 5. Fuel unrest in the Kurdish provinces. There are 15 million in Iran, out of population of 80 million. They dwell in Western Azerbijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Hamadan provinces, as well as a substantial number in North Khorassan. 6. To post specially trained intelligence officers at Saudi embassies and consulates around the world, mapping Hezbollah clandestine operations.

It is also necessary to aim for a coalition in Iraq (after the confusing election there) composed of Sadr and the incumbant PM Haydar al Abadi and Ammar al-Hakim, the 43 year old head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq. Their blessing is essential for any administration. Both Saudi and American brokers have taken steps to win over the pro-Iranian Badr militia leader Hadi Al-Ameri. He ran on the Iranian ticket and is a known associate of Iran's Revolutionary Guards; however, he is suspected of starting to change his positions.
Now, with cease fires alternating with attacks at the borders with Jordan and Israel, we can't be sure if Israel has led an attack at this time. What is apparent is that military equipment is a formidable part of the equation in the Putin/Trump deal scenario. It is also, probably, a significant factor in whether or not the Iran Project can be pulled off successfully.
Of prime interest is the Custom adapted F-35 stealth Lightening, and, most especially, Israel's custom version of it. It is a cross between a fighter jet and an attack aircraft. It has a vulnerability to VHF radar, although it is impervious to the X band. On the other hand, VHF is easy to identify and knock out due to their larger antennae arrays. Russia is hell bent on selling its SU-57, even at discount prices. Another weapon to watch in this conflict is the X47B drone. Able to land pilot-less on an aircraft carrier, it is also able to refuel in the air autonomously.
